Why cook when on holiday? Pembrokeshire is a great place to taste fresh local produce straight from field or fishing boat. Whether you want to sample award winning cooking from local restaurants, buy ultra-fresh Pembrokeshire produce to cook at home or sample some of the excellent local craft beers, here are some of our favourite local places:

If you are prepared to travel Y Polyn in Golden Grove is worth an excursion into Carmarthenshire.



The Tenby Brewing Company make their own ales and lagers in Tenby which are available nationwide but best sampled at their own very cool venues Tap & Tân in Upper Frog Street, Tenby and The Hwb , Narberth. From April to September, they also open their Brewery marquee bar The Yard.



Tap & Tân is also home to the excellent Feast who can also be spotted out in the wilds with their fabulous flame cooking.



Tenby boasts more craft beer from the Harbwr Brewing Company in Sergeant’s Lane, Tenby with Bar and Kitchens in Tenby and Saundersfoot.


Thirsty in the Preseli Hills? Visit Bluestone Brewing Company at Cilgwyn.


In Haverfordwest you can find craft ale brewed at the very funky Core of the Poodle Ltd Record Store.


For wine-lovers, a trip to Velfrey Vineyard in Lampeter Velfrey near Whitland will be a revelation where award-winning fine wines are now being produced. Tour and tasting available.



Top Joe’s Pizzas, Tenby & Narberth. Artisanal pizzas made with care and local ingredients in a proper Italian pizza oven.



In addition to great water sport activities, Wild Lakes have an excellent Kitchen at their Tipi Dining.


If you love cheese, take a trip to
Caws Cenarth, and Pant Mawr cheese makers for fine Welsh fromage.


The best continental cheese selection with accent on all things Español can be found at the mighty Ultracomedia, Narbeth. Founder Maria runs a fine table at Picton Castle.


Ritec Valley Organics: fresh veggies grown within ½ mile of Penally – see their website to order a veg box.


Bubbleton Farm Shop and Farm Kitchen, near Penally  has an excellent array of produce, dishes and beverages.



Loafly Delicatessen in Tenby for fresh bread, cakes and gourmet goodies. And their sell-out sausage rolls are a killer - forget Greggs.



Simply Seafood on Tenby Harbour is run by a husband and wife team – he catches it and she prepares and sells it. Super-fresh fish, crab, lobster and mussels. Take away snacks or perfectly boned fillets to take away and cook at home.
