Penally to Giltar Headland: starts from the carpark at Penally Railway station. Look for seals, cormorants, slow worms, seaside wild flowers, wild bees, views over Caldey & St Margaret’s Island – listen for the honking of puffins on St Margaret’s in the summer.
Penally Nature trail – starts at the top of Penally Abbey Lane. Look for bluebells in spring, buzzards nesting in the woods, bullfinches in the gorse hedges, flocks of goldfinches and weird fungi in autumn, views over Tenby and Caldey Island.
Lydstep Headlands – National Trust with free car parking – extensive views over the coast and Caldey Island. Look for: seals, ravens, sea caves, wild flowers and peregrine falcons. Lydstep cliffs and caverns walk.
Wild life boat trips to watch seals, dolphins and basking sharks run from many Pembrokeshire harbours. The nearest start from Tenby or Saundersfoot Harbours.
Trips to Skokholm and Skomer nature reserves or the Cleddau Estuary run from Milford Haven, St Davids and Marloes.
